Hallelujah the baby is out!!! On the 5. 5. 2008 Claire had an appointment at 4pm to have a cesarean. I was able to attend the operation and comfort Claire during it all. At 4:41pm little Shawn Alex honored us with his cute grumpy blue face and a real upset Taurus cry! Claire was able to give him a little greeting kiss and away he and I went to clean him up. His welcome to me was him peeing allover me and the midwife. What a love!
A bit upset he soon was reunited with mommies wooing words where he responded with a surprisingly alert look and calmed down so he could get his first tummy full.

Thank you again for all your prayers. Everything went well even though we prayed for a natural birth we now know why it was not possible. Some muscles that contract during labor did not function properly so it did not push the baby into position making a natural delivery possible. Something the doctor said is very unusual. We did try everything and asked our doctor to wait as long as possible. Usually after 14 days past the due date they don’t wait any longer and go for a cesarean. But Doc. Wali, who is our good friend, put his reputation at risk and let us wait 2 days more. So our little one was 17 days late!

Already Claire is doing all she can do get her strength back and is walking daily while at the same time getting little grumpy all he needs. He has some colic which makes it a bit of a challenge. But Shawn Alex is such a cute one and every time you see him smiling in his sleep you can’t help but love him. Ha!

This little fellow chilling is going to be our child! You can already totally see how cute it will be...... can't u tell!? I am sure it will be a boy but his big sis Brianna is praying every night for a baby sister. I guess I have to talk to the Boss a bit too! Then again, a healthy boy or girl is already the biggest gift we could have. Thanks for praying for this little ones life and for Claire (The prettiest mommy there is) so that all goes well and that both will be healthy. He is going to come around a the end of April 08, dose that make it an Aries? That's got to be a good thing (I hope) as most of my best friends are Aries.

On the 15th September 2007 Claire and I got married!
We had two weeks to prepare, get the dress, flowers and set up the places to get married. It was completely a miracle that it worked out. Everyone was getting married that day so chapels, hotels and all the nice spots where booked out. The day before the wedding I still did not have a suit and all the food still needed to be cooked. Well, all I can say is GOD LOVES US! It all was a dream come true. We got everything we needed and all was pretty much for free! My great and perfect friends came to help with the preparations and food to the point where they left everyone astonished with how professionally they did it all.
Over 90 people of our family and friends came. We had some of our outside friends and supporters come, we had many friends who are no longer in the Family-mission come and of course we had most of our close relatives and friends attend. It was truly a beautiful way to bring so many people together and have it be an awesome testimony of our life's and love. This was something we wanted to share with all of you after the wedding but Claire’s dad “spilled the beans” during the ceremony and boy, should you have been there. The whole chapel sat up looking at the one sitting next to them asking if they heard right! It was perfect! Yes Claire and I are having a baby! You all did hear right!
